We need to express both happiness and sadness. These emotions help us express how we feel at that moment in time. We have a range of emotions that we express daily. We ought not to be in a state of one emotion all the time. We need to allow ourselves to express all emotions. Feeling and expressing our emotions is natural. We get into trouble when we don’t feel our feelings when it is necessary especially expressing the negative ones. Feeling is a product of what thoughts we’re saying to ourselves and what constitutes sadness and happiness to us. What is important to us is where we feel very strongly towards.
