Loss and Gain with Change

Don’t be afraid of change. You may lose something good, but you may gain something better. —Unknown

Change is a loss and gain at the same time. When we graduate with our class, we move on and gradually lose touch with our friends we’ve developed over the course of fours or more. When we move from one place to another, we leave neighbors that we’ve grew up with. When we switched jobs or change careers, we move ‘what was’ to pursue ‘what will be.’ Everything is constantly on the move. It is something that’s hard to get use to. However, since change is inevitable, we don’t have a choice in the matter. Therefore, we need to be as flexible as can be because we might gain something better.
