Delay or Conquer

To Beseech Thee

Post Written By Eugene Morgan

What you deny or ignore, you delay. What you accept and face, you conquer. — Robert Tew

When we deny or ignore something, it all come from our fears.  We’re afraid to know the truth and reality of things. We prefer to hold on to a distorted reality that we’ve created.  And we think that’s going keep us safe.  Worrying about things can’t save us. Worrying has no power. However, if we face things as they are, then we have one another to face things together.  Denial is another word for distraction. We deliberately distract ourselves because we don’t want to face what might cause us pain. So how can we conquer something that is unknown to us without investigating? Knowledge is powerful. Knowledge can subside our fears if we allow ourselves to be open to it.

Begin With Courage

Take Courage

Post Written By Eugene Morgan

“More powerful than the will to win is the courage to begin.”— Unknown

The things we’re doing today once had a new beginning. The skills we’ve acquired over the years had a new beginning. So how come we sometimes fear doing something new when we’ve been through this before? This is a good question to ask ourselves when we’re confronted to doing new things. When we’re confronted with new things to do, we feel out of control and out of our comfort zone. Yes, we’ve gotten so use to doing the same old things that we became too comfortable and familiar with doing them without a fear of losing control. We felt comfortable in ourselves because we’ve rehearsed and performed the tasks over and over. Knowing this understanding can help us approach new projects with the courage to begin without hesitation.

The Courage To Begin

“More powerful than the will to win is the courage to begin.”— Unknown

When we’re confronted with doing something new, our heart starts pounding. Our first initial thought is what have I got myself into. But as we begin to plan things, some of our anxiety turns into excitement. Sometimes, before we begin a new project, our minds begin to be filled with self-doubt. We first experience self-doubt and/or anxiety because we don’t know whether we will succeed or fail.  If we look at our past, we will find that we have a lot of experiences of starting something new. We can also see the abilities that we’ve acquired over the years from starting something new. So it is a good reminder to look at what we have done.

Doubting Your Power

Rocking Chair

Post Written By Eugene Morgan

“When you doubt your power, you give power to your doubt.”—

When we doubt our power, we’re open to be taken advantage of. We are less informed, when we doubt our power. An education is in order of our rights as a citizen.  The more uninformed we are, the more power we give to our doubts. Doubts are like trying to follow a path with a veil over our eyes.  It takes power to maintain doubts. Doubting is mental exercises that paralysis the body. Doubting is a preoccupation of mind that delays progress.  But if we take courage and lift the veil from our eyes then we can see that we have the  power to make our own path in life.
