Hopes and Choices

Hope

May your choices reflect your hopes, not your fears.— Nelson Mandela

Hope gives us a reason to keep pushing on even when there is a slim chance that things may not get better. Hope gives us a spark of light even in the midst of darkness. Hope can tame some of our fears so we can have a better handle on them. Fear sees limited choices while hope looks for more options. Hope motivates our thoughts into doing something which will increase our confidence in ourselves while it will decrease our fears. We dislike feeling out of control, and so we use our fears to control. Hope can empower us from within and take us out of the context that’s causing us trepidations.
