When we have done our best and done the hard work, we need to feel appreciated by others. It makes a different when we receive praises from others. Praises feed our egos and lift our spirits to work even harder. Receiving praises let us know that our hard work is paying off. Receiving praises builds confidence in us. We’re not robots, but human beings who need strokes to feel that what we’re doing is worth the amount of pressure we put on our selves to grow.
