When we continue to try and then try harder without any results, then it’s possible that we need to look at the situation or problem differently. We don’t want to waste our time waiting for a different result when we’re using the same approach. Problem solving is always about what’s working and what’s not working. What’s not working is just as important as what’s working, because we can gain valuable information that can helps us to be most effective. Feedback is better than self-criticism. Self-criticism is only an expression of anger and frustration that’s based on a certain standard we place on ourselves. Instead, we can think about what’s not working and then alter our approach.
